Scheduled a $65 synthetic oil change. While the service was being performed, consultant came to me to say that my battery posts were corroded would I like to have them clean. Foolishly, I stated yes. Without asking how much. Because how much could a battery post cleaning cost? Final bill $112. 25. That’s the $65 oil change and the battery post to Cleaning of $63. Am I satisfied to have a five minute post Cleaning charging me $63. Absolutely not. Am I mortified that I didn’t ask the price upfront, yes. Do I feel that they took advantage of me? Yes. Hello Nancy, I am grateful your daughter stopped in to speak with me directly about your concern, I have also reached out to you to discuss the review. I explained the service to her and will be happy to go step by step with you also. Now where I am confused is she and I talked and I acknowledged that I should have made sure you knew how much it was before we did it. I asked what could I do to make the situation better, I then offered a $30.00 gift card for my mistake and she accepted. We then talked about tires for your vehicle and hers. Now we have this review and I again acknowledge my mistake in not telling you the price up front. Your daughter and I talked this through and she said that what we talked about was a fair solution. I made a mistake, but never tried to lose your trust. Your trust is what we work for every day.
